In order to optimize thermal power plant work regimes and increase its efficiency and availability, the plan is to upgrade the system for hydrogen production – an electrolyser with the power of 17,5 MW, which will produce about 330 kg/h hydrogen in the conditions of reduced demand and low prices of electrical energy. Hydrogen produced in such way will be stored as gas at the location and will enable the establishment of hydrogen market in Croatia and in the region. Depending on the needs and the market growth, hydrogen production upgrade is possible though modular system of electrolysis. |
