With the aim to achieve a complete project environmental acceptability, following the highest environmental standards, in cooperation with the Norwegian Research and Development Centre TCM in Mongstad, a facility for capturing and separating CO2 on the basis of amino processes has been developed, also known as the Post-Combustion Amine-Based CO2 Capture. It is estimated that this solution for capturing and separating CO2 could separate about 500 000 t of CO2 of 99% purity. The location of the thermal power plant is highly appropriate for the connection with geological structures suitable for storing CO2 in geological structures. |
