Hybrid Power Plant SB
Increased production of electrical energy is a global reality and a Hybrid Power Plant is the right way to actually influence the reduction of greenhouse gases by using natural gas which has been accepted as the environmentally most acceptable energy source in the transition period leading to the complete decarbonization.

Electrical energy will be fed into the distribution network by a switchyard at the location of the thermal power plant Slavonski Brod and the substation located in the close vicinity and then further by 110 kV transmission line of the Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS).

Gas turbines have been designed for the combustion of gas with air with a small amount of oxygen – by applying the recirculation of exhausted gases in the process called Exhaust Gas Recirculation.

Thermal power plant will have the production capacity of over 2 TWh of electrical power per year and the availability of over 8 000 hours per year. The drive of the plant will be ensured through the connection with the gas transport system of the 4 TWh capacity of natural gas per year.
